Course layout

This is an enclosed nine-hole course at Palewell Common, which is an extension of Richmond Park.

The course is divided in two by the Beverley Brook. A footbridge takes you from one side to the other.

The holes are all at least 80 yards long, and several of the greens are guarded by sand bunkers. A pond provides an additional hazard on the 9th hole, and the Beverley Brook itself captures any hooked drives from the eighth tee.

The greens are exceptionally large for a Pitch and Putt course and the entire area is maintained to a very high standard.

Golf tuition

There is a golf professional, Karl Spurrier, attached to the facility. The tuition programme centres on junior players.

There is a Junior Pay and Play session every Saturday from 9.30 until 11.00. Advance booking is not necessary; you can just turn up for tuition and play. The cost is £7 per session, or £36 for a six-week block.

Competitions are held every month.

Courses for juniors are held during the Easter and summer holidays. Some of these are golf only; others are combined with other sports.

Refreshments

The kiosk provides a range of snacks, hot and cold drinks, and ice creams.
